Auguries of Innocence
To see a world in a grain of sand,
And a heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand,
And eternity in an hour.
A robin redbreast in a cage
Puts all heaven in a rage.
A dove-house fill'd with doves and pigeons
Shudders hell thro' all its regions.
A dog starv'd at his master's gate
Predicts the ruin of the state.
A horse misused upon the road
Calls to heaven for human blood.
Each outcry of the hunted hare
A fibre from the brain does tear.
A skylark wounded in the wing,
A cherubim does cease to sing.
The game-cock clipt and arm'd for fight
Does the rising sun affright.
Every wolf's and lion's howl
Raises from hell a human soul.
The wild deer, wand'ring here and there,
Keeps the human soul from care.
The lamb misus'd breeds public strife,
And yet forgives the butcher's knife.
The bat that flits at close of eve
Has left the brain that won't believe.
The owl that calls upon the night
Speaks the unbeliever's fright.
He who shall hurt the little wren
Shall never be belov'd by men.
He who the ox to wrath has mov'd
Shall never be by woman lov'd.
The wanton boy that kills the fly
Shall feel the spider's enmity.
He who torments the chafer's sprite
Weaves a bower in endless night.
The caterpillar on the leaf
Repeats to thee thy mother's grief.
Kill not the moth nor butterfly,
For the last judgement draweth nigh.
He who shall train the horse to war
Shall never pass the polar bar.
The beggar's dog and widow's cat,
Feed them and thou wilt grow fat.
The gnat that sings his summer's song
Poison gets from slander's tongue.
The poison of the snake and newt
Is the sweat of envy's foot.
The poison of the honey bee
Is the artist's jealousy.
The prince's robes and beggar's rags
Are toadstools on the miser's bags.
A truth that's told with bad intent
Beats all the lies you can invent.
It is right it should be so;
Man was made for joy and woe;
And when this we rightly know,
Thro' the world we safely go.
Joy and woe are woven fine,
A clothing for the soul divine.
Under every grief and pine
Runs a joy with silken twine.
The babe is more than swaddling bands;
Every farmer understands.
Every tear from every eye
Becomes a babe in eternity;
This is caught by females bright,
And return'd to its own delight.
The bleat, the bark, bellow, and roar,
Are waves that beat on heaven's shore.
The babe that weeps the rod beneath
Writes revenge in realms of death.
The beggar's rags, fluttering in air,
Does to rags the heavens tear.
The soldier, arm'd with sword and gun,
Palsied strikes the summer's sun.
The poor man's farthing is worth more
Than all the gold on Afric's shore.
One mite wrung from the lab'rer's hands
Shall buy and sell the miser's lands;
Or, if protected from on high,
Does that whole nation sell and buy.
He who mocks the infant's faith
Shall be mock'd in age and death.
He who shall teach the child to doubt
The rotting grave shall ne'er get out.
He who respects the infant's faith
Triumphs over hell and death.
The child's toys and the old man's reasons
Are the fruits of the two seasons.
The questioner, who sits so sly,
Shall never know how to reply.
He who replies to words of doubt
Doth put the light of knowledge out.
The strongest poison ever known
Came from Caesar's laurel crown.
Nought can deform the human race
Like to the armour's iron brace.
When gold and gems adorn the plow,
To peaceful arts shall envy bow.
A riddle, or the cricket's cry,
Is to doubt a fit reply.
The emmet's inch and eagle's mile
Make lame philosophy to smile.
He who doubts from what he sees
Will ne'er believe, do what you please.
If the sun and moon should doubt,
They'd immediately go out.
To be in a passion you good may do,
But no good if a passion is in you.
The whore and gambler, by the state
Licensed, build that nation's fate.
The harlot's cry from street to street
Shall weave old England's winding-sheet.
The winner's shout, the loser's curse,
Dance before dead England's hearse.
Every night and every morn
Some to misery are born,
Every morn and every night
Some are born to sweet delight.
Some are born to sweet delight,
Some are born to endless night.
We are led to believe a lie
When we see not thro' the eye,
Which was born in a night to perish in a night,
When the soul slept in beams of light.
God appears, and God is light,
To those poor souls who dwell in night;
But does a human form display
To those who dwell in realms of day.Does any 1 luv this poem as much as i do.?

What do you think of the beginning of this short story I'm beginning to write?
“STOP IT!” I screamed at the top of my lungs. It felt good to yell at the two of them. They had been at it for a half hour. After that fleeting moment of relief, I was taken aback...did that really come from me? Did I really just scream at my parents?
After I decided it indeed had come from my mouth, I added in a smaller voice, “....Please? Take it somewhere else. Jay is right in front of you...”
I think I probably cared about my brother more than my mom and dad. Lately, they had been fighting a lot; often in front of us. As if they didn’t care or know we were witnessing this. Sometimes I had this surreal feeling in the pit of my stomach, like it wasn’t actually happening. Like this was just one of the most vivid dreams I would ever have.
I snapped out of it and reminded myself that if you’re thinking “oh, I must be dreaming”, you’re probably awake.
My mother looked at me angrily for a few seconds. She had a way of looking angry and surprised at the same time, with the same facial expression. Her eyebrows would arch, as if she was surprised. But at the same time, she would purse her lips, as if she was biting her tongue. It’s not exactly easy to explain, but I hope you can get the gist of it. It certainly would make me stop in the middle of the street, wondering what that woman is staring at.
She lowered her eyebrows and slightly parted her lips. This is when she starts talking to you in a calm-but-panicked voice. She said, “Gisele. Stay out of this. Your father—”
I quickly cut in.
“I know what Dad said. I don’t care, honestly. I just want you guys to SHUT UP.”
My mother looked down at the plain white carpeted floor, and inhaled deeply. She brushed her strawberry blonde hair behind her ear, and sighed. She look absolutely exhausted. Her eyeliner was smudged and her eyes were bloodshot. Her shaking hand slowly reached for her car keys and walked out the front door. Not another word was spoken.
I knew she would be gone all night. Possibly two nights. I wasn’t sure who she was staying with. Maybe a boyfriend. Maybe her friend from work. I quite truthfully didn’t want to know.
There were a lot of things I knew already...not that I wanted to. If I could have erased them from my mind, I would’ve. But you can’t un-ring a bell, similar to how you can’t un-see-and-hear an argument between those two dumbasses I call my parents.
I looked directly in front of me, not really seeing what was there. I felt so helpless, desperate to stop this chaos. It was moments like that when I wish I could just escape to a different country and stay there for a year or so, just to clear my mind.
Hmm...clear my mind. That sounded good right about now. I thought to myself, “maybe I should take a walk around the neighborhood...just for an hour or so.”
I did just that, but stopped in Jay’s room to pick up his Swiss Army pocket knife.
** is it okay so far?What do you think of the beginning of this short story I'm beginning to write?
omg, you are a singer and also a writer you have multiple talents what else can you do? the story was way to professional for a 14 year old. hey girl keep it up. you have no problems with your future i admire you.What do you think of the beginning of this short story I'm beginning to write?
I really liked it. Try reading Japanese folktales like ';The Tongue Cut Sparrow';. It will give you an excellent idea of what the structure of a short story should be, although it is shorter than your story should be.
Love it so far! Definitely entices me to want to read the rest of it.
May advise you in this sense, a true artist/writier does his or her work as passion. I feel you should just go with it and make changes later on.I suck at grammer, but you seem to be great writer and if anyone tell you other tell them to piss off. You need to realized you need to write for yourself and no one else. You are a superstar and how right you are.
I liked it, but there's one sentence I thought you should reword:
'Her shaking hand slowly reached for her car keys and walked out the front door.'
I understand that her hand is what reached for the car keys, but was it only her hand that walked out the door? That's how you make it sound. Just add 'she' before 'walked' and see the difference it makes.
Other than that, good job, and keep writing.
I like it. Keep it up!

i loved it. one day you should become arthur.in your story i could feel and picture what your story was about in my head . i honestly thought it was wonderful. try a shot at love stories. i think you could do very well. post one up from the top of your head right now. with a sean that realy expresses there love for each other.
That is a great introduction/beginning you should become a professional writter.
I love it. Really great job!
It is really nice mavellous
Sounds really Good keep writing :)
Really good. I write short stories too. But their about science fiction adventures.
Don't think any advice of mine would go well with your story
14 too
I am fairly critical when people post their stories on here, but I really do like this one. You have provided the reader with a dramatic beginning and this helps to draw them in. You use good imagery as well, especially in describing what the mother looks like. I got a clear picture of an attractive, yet confused and exhausted young woman. I don't know if you were planning to later, but I think if you haven't already you should describe the father because I didn't really feel like he existed.
Overall I think it would make a great drama novel though. Keep it up!

How do you deal with a mother-in-law who hates you??
Hi, I am having serious mother in law problems- PLEASE read and give me suggestions..insight...anything...prayer鈥?would be appreciated as well!
See, first off, she lives RIGHT across the parking lot in the same apt complex, so does his sister- they can never leave my husband alone no matter where he goes, so they live way to close.
Okay- When I came here to live with him a year ago, we had to live in his mothers apt until our apt opened up. She was nothing but horrid to me the first day. she would call me a slut, tell bill his other gfs were prettier than me right in front of me so i could hear it (which they are not by the way LOL), she even accused me of being lazy- so I cleaned her entire house the 3rd day I had ever even known her, and then she had the nerve to say I stole her perfume and all of this other junk.
Now, over the year she has been horrible. at our wedding she had to be forced by bills sister to go. she didnt even comb her hair for our wedding and didnt say a word to me the whole time. By the reception, she told bill that our marriage was a big mistake and he shouldnt have married me. then at our wedding shower which she had at her house that his sister put together, she came up behind me in front of his whole family and said loudly ';Wow, you must be eating a lot, your getting pretty fat'; (I was only 120 lbs, 5 2', im not that fat...) so I ran out of her apt crying and went back to our apt and just cried all night.
Now I am pregnant with our first child, I am about 17 weeks. we are so excited about the pregnancy, but her first reaction when we told her not to long ago was total apathy. She keeps saying that Bill cant take care of a child and I will be a horrible mother and all of this other stuff right to her own son.
Then she calls every day about 6 times, and if he ignores her call, she either comes over to bother us, or she will keep calling until he finally cant take it anymore and picks up. I cant even check the mail in peace because she stares out her window at our apt ALL the time (its in her view) so she always calls about 10 minutes after i get back in and gets nosey and asks what we got in the mail, and when I get packages from my family, she always happens to see the mail truck or UPS guy and ALWAYS calls to nose her way into what we got and why and how we bought it and what is it for and why do we need it, the woman just wont stop! And whenever we get a ride on the transit bus to walmart she questions where we went, why we went, what we bought, and wont mind her buisiness! she even comments on what I am wearing sometimes!! I swear she just doesnt stop staring out the window at our house! she always knows what we are doing, we have no privacy at all, and are getting questioned left and right- we cant even drink anything or eat anything without her asking my husband WHY....
And then this week, on sunday, my husband and I went to our church and his mother who hasnt been to church in YEARS (she says that shes a BIG time christian and preaches a ton, but shes one of those who will never go to church) and she went, and she is always so nasty and cold to me, and I have held my tongue for a year around her and I was so scared i would say something to her, I actually got upset and cried and my husband and i ended up fighting at church (after) over it at the lunch they were having, and I felt horrible about that,. She has come so close to breaking us up its not even funny.
Then for our anniversary, my grandparents sent us omaha steaks, roses, and money, and cards, what did his mother give us?? not even a phone call to congratulate us on our first anniversary, not a card, no acknowledgment whatsoever- just like she blew off my husbands birthday in june and never even gave him a gift. the woman actually waited until the end of their conversation on the phone on his birthday to even say happy birthday- as an afterthought.
And today we had church again, and we get a ride in the church bus, but this time, the pastor stopped outside her apt and she got in the van...so that meant i would have to be around her. And everytime i am around her she ignores me or she says something cruel to me, so to avoid saying anything cruel to her in retaliation, I got out of the van and went back home and didnt go to church, and my husband got out as well because he didnt want to be near his mother without me. Now I feel horrible that I dont like her, but I feel worse that my dislike for her is keeping me away from church and I am having such a hard time dealing with how much I cannot stand her. What should I do??? How do I deal with her and this situation?? thank youHow do you deal with a mother-in-law who hates you??
i know just how you feel!! my mother in law lives like 4 or 5 miles away. his sister lives 2 miles away. my sister in law and i were best friends til just recently. there mother took off and left them for another man for 2 or 3 years. she didn't like me from the day we started dating, gave him the choice to move out or break up with me. called me a bunch of names and stuff like that. then when she found out we got engages she text him and said so i heard you asked that girl to marry you. didn't want to invite her to the bridal shower cuz i didn't like her. she threw a huge fit';fine i'll just have one myself.'; so i ended up inviting her. suprisingly the wedding went well. then i got pregnant a month later..not on accident, we planned it, she made the comment that i had gotten pregnant before the wedding because a month before my due date i was dialating already. she pushed and pushed to be in the room and i didn't want her to, but she was anyways. my baby has a brace for hip displasha* and can't be layed on her belly, we told her that when we let her stay the night. she layed her on her belly in a bunch of cat hair and had a rash on her face when we picked her up. well we got into a fight about that. and now she's going to a lawyer for grandparent rights. so i know how you feel. i think you should move away from his mother and never let you child stay with her!!How do you deal with a mother-in-law who hates you??
WOW! I am so sorry! No one should have to live this way. Have you and your husband thought about moving? That will earn you a little privacy. Maybe join a different Church congregation as well. I know it doesn't seem fair that you should have to change all the aspects of your life but it seems like the only way you will escape is to just disappear. I actually went through a similar situation with my sister-in-law and she has no idea where I live now and my life is much better because of it. Until you can get away, kill them with kindness. If you don't let it show that they are hurting you, and you act as if you are happy regardless of what they say or do, they will lose their edge and their will to keep harassing you. It isn't as fun if they are not getting the reaction they want. Good Luck to you!
Unfortunately, you now are family members. It's just sad that you two don't get along. Hopefully once the baby comes her tune will change. Most often times, that's what happens. The relationship won't be perfect, but she may become more bearable to you.
And you may get to use her...as a low cost or no cost babysitter.
Good luck!

How do I deal with her and this situation?? thank youMother-In-Law Problem- Need help very badly! ?
Every time that you run away crying---she wins. Don't let her win. Kill her with kindness. Compliment her hair when it looks like crap. Tell her that you love her dress if it is wrinkled. If she slams you with insults, say something like you wish that you had as close of a relationship with God that she does so that you too could pass judgment on people the same way that she does. Take a deep breath and pick her worst feature then twist it into a sick compliment. That will drive her nuts and bingo---you win. Look at it like a game and ignore her ugly words. Remember -- one day in the future, she will be dead and ---you win! Mother-In-Law Problem- Need help very badly! ?
You and your husband need to get as far away from this woman as possible as quickly as possible. There is no remedy to the situation that will allow you to stay where you are.
Don't allow her to push your buttons. Don't cry. Kill her with kindness. You allow her to hurt you. No matter what she says just blow it off. You cant change anyone but yourself.
Move out of your apartment as far away from her as possible! Does your husband even stand up to her when she is being cruel and nasty to the both of you? Sorry that's all of the advice I can give, but I mean what else CAN you do? Standing up to her and getting in her face isn't going to make things any better. At least if you're far away she can't stare out her window at you like a nosy bored a s s hole! I'm so sorry you have to deal with this hun, especially since you're pregnant and stressed out enough. Get away and get away FAST!
move away from her as far as possible.
Your mother-in-law is not the problem. Your husband is the problem. He needs to be a man. He needs to tell his mother that she is not to call or come over unless she can treat ';his wife, the love of his life'; with respect and dignity. He needs to tell her that if she ever wishes to see or hold her grandchild she needs to change her behavior. If she does not, the two of you need to find an apartment across town and move! Find another church, make new friends and raise your baby together in happiness. Best of luck.
This woman has some real security issues - does she have a husband? Sounds like she has nothing else to do except fixate on her son. What a freakn nightmare.
These people are right that are telling you to move - this will solve a lot of your problems. She has no respect for you or your privacy. Perhaps you need to give your husband an ultimatum - move and save your marriage or simply wait for its inevitable disintegration. Even if you ignore her, don't take it to heart, etc etc, the fact that she is literally in your face is going to drive you more and more insane.
Fist of all, why in hell you moved in with her and let her push you around and insult you? You put up with everything as well as your husband letting your mother treat you that way. Does your husband have a backbone to stand up for you especially when you are pregnant? She gets away with everything because you let her do that. Move away, stand up for your family.
I am sorry, but it doesn't seem as though you have a problem with your MIL--you seem to have a problem with your husband not putting his psycho mother in her place. Any husband that would allow his mother to speak to and treat his wife the way his treats you is not worth much. Move out of that apt complex and get far away from her. Do not be afraid to tell her to mind her business if your husband will not tell her (which he should have a long time ago).
ONG! That sounds like my MIL. When we got married, 42 yrs ago, neither set of parents approved. Mine did not come to the wedding and have not spoken to us since. Her father liked me, but unfortunately, he died 3 yrs later. Her mother fought at us and yelled at us till they day she died. I said ';fought at'; because we never fought back. They would come over unannounced and use their key that was ';for emergency only.'; One time we saw them coming and quickly stripped and started making love on the couch. They walked right in. My wife yelled at her that we were trying to make a grand baby and if they ever wanted one, they should leave right now. We never stopped the action. But they never again came over without calling first. She never said one nice word to me in over 32 yrs. If I picked her up in the blue car, she bitched that I didn't bring the red car, and vice versa if I picked her up in the red car. She was never happy with our house, our life, our children, or anything. We went out of our way to NOT live near them, but close enough to drop in on them once a week. (If we had moved away and they came to visit for a week, I would be in jail for murder. lol) We put on a united front. We left their place a soon as she started in on us. (Sometimes we didn't even get our clothes off. ) She was an evil, wicked, mean, bad and nasty woman. She had no friends. At her funeral there was not one person present that was non family, except the minister. When she was coming over, we and the kids would bet each other on what she would ***** about first, and how many minutes it would take her. One time, she bitched about the welcome mat before she even stepped in. Our tactic was just to laugh it off. Good luck with your MIL. YOU MUST MOVE AWAY FROM HER.
Honey I thought that i was the only one with mother in law problems. I can totally relate to what you are going through. Do what i did. Stand up to her and tell her how you feel. If your husband loves you, he will stand by you and he will also respect you for it in the long run. Thanks to my mol i came hairline close to losing my husband. Oh if i only knew who you were sweetheart I could tell you some stories that would make your mother in law look like a saint.
You definitely need to move. It is the only way possible to have some space from her. Especially w/ the baby coming. I live in the same yard w/ my inlaws but it is alot of hassle. Lots of boundaries are necessary, and you can't always expect your husband to step up to the plate. Sometimes you just have to be a bit#ch in order to get results. If your husband doesn't stand up to her and defend you, then by all means assert yourself w/ her. She may hate your guts, but you don't need to accept her treatment of you.

A question for Christians about life after death?
Why do most Christians believe that we all have an immortal soul when the Bible teaches so much about the resurrection? Do Christians pay more attention to peoples life after death claims rather than the Bible:
The book of Acts is many days after Jesus went upto heaven, and Peter says that king David is dead and buried and is not ascended into the heavens. So here we have good king David, dead, buried, not in heaven--is that clear!
What about the woman Tabitha who died? Read Acts 9:40:
';But Peter put them all out, and knelt down and prayed. And turning to the body he said, ';Tabitha, arise.'; And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter she sat up.';
Why would Peter bring Tabitha back to life if he believed her soul was in paradise? Would Peter pray to bring her down from heaven to raise her from the dead again?
So when do we go to heaven......answer (1 Corinthians 15:22-23)
';For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ's at His coming.';
Is that clear! When are we made alive--those who are Christ's AT HIS COMING!
I could quote so many more scriptures but I don't know how more clear these scriptures can be. If you believe that this is only refering to the body then please show me from the Bible that says man has an immortal soul. If you quote abscent from the body and present with the Lord then you can search the internet to see how many different interpretations people have for this. Do not base your doctrine on just a few scriptures and ignore the mountain of other scriptures.
But I just wanted to talk about the rich man and Lazarus which some people twist to try and prove their doctrine. Is this a parable or is it literal. How many times does Jesus tell a parable starting off, ';a certain man';
Luke 12:16--';The ground of a certain rich man';
Luke 15:22--';A certain man had two sons';
Luke 16:1--';There was a certain rich man';
Luke 18:2--';There was in a certain city';
Now it's quite clear that these were not real events, but parables. So how can people say that the rich man and Lazarus is literal but the other parables are not literal? The parable of the rich man and Lazarus seems to be full of symbolism:
1. Could a person who was literally burning in a pit of fire have a normal conversation with someone else?
2. Would a person in a pit of fire ask for a drop of water to cool their tongue......No, they would ask for the fire-brigade!
I think this parable had something to do with the Pharisees love for money and using their tongue to speak bad about poor people. I think it is something along those lines. But people use this parable literally to try and prove the immortal soul.
Feel free to disagree with me but the truth of God is what matters. God blessA question for Christians about life after death?
? The Resurrection is of the physical body...Yes King Davids body is still in the grave...but His spirit is in Heaven...Don't you recall Moses...He was buried by God and He was in heaven ...came and spoke with Christ along with Elijah....
Paul teaches us that to be absent from this body is to be present with the Lord.....A question for Christians about life after death?
You know, just because you have an immortal soul and die, it doesn't mean you can't be resurrected.I mean, immortal is immortal. If you're resurrected, you still have an immortal soul.
I won't bother going into the religious side of your argument because that is a fundamental flaw in your question. Please rephrase and come back after you've used your crayon to work it out.
i agree completely , i have just read a book called old souls its a very compelling book written from a skeptical point of view studying reincarnation might or might not be true but makes more sense than heaven and hell , i like your style, not a sheep but searching for the truth without the influence of every one else
Nice question.
No part of the bible does it teach that we have an immortal soul. This is a false teaching by the clergy and now believed by billions of people all around the world.
After Solomon observed that the living know that they will die, he wrote: “As for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all.” He then enlarged on that basic truth by saying that the dead can neither love nor hate and that “there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in [the grave].” (Ecclesiastes 9:5, 6,?10) Similarly, Psalm 146:4 says that when a man dies, “his thoughts do perish.” We are mortal and do not survive the death of our body. The life we enjoy is like the flame of a candle. When the flame is put out, it does not go anywhere. It is simply gone.
WHAT JESUS SAID ABOUT DEATH
Jesus Christ spoke about the condition of the dead. He did so with regard to Lazarus, a man whom he knew well and who had died. Jesus told his disciples: “Lazarus our friend has gone to rest.” The disciples thought that Jesus meant that Lazarus was resting in sleep, recovering from an illness. They were wrong. Jesus explained: “Lazarus has died.” (John 11:11-14) Notice that Jesus compared death to rest and sleep. Lazarus was neither in heaven nor in a burning hell. He was not meeting angels or ancestors. Lazarus was not being reborn as another human. He was at rest in death, as though in a deep sleep without dreams. Other scriptures also compare death to sleep. For example, when the disciple Stephen was stoned to death, the Bible says that he “fell asleep.” (Acts 7:60) Similarly, the apostle Paul wrote about some in his day who had “fallen asleep” in death.—1?Corinthians 15:6.
Matt. 10:28: “Do not become fearful of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul [or, “life”]; but rather be in fear of him that can destroy both soul* and body in Gehenna.” (*Greek has the accusative case of psy?khe′. KJ, AS, RS, NE, TEV, Dy, JB, and NAB all render it “soul.”)
The Christian concept of a spiritual soul created by God and infused into the body at conception to make man a living whole is the fruit of a long development in Christian philosophy. Only with Origen [died c. 254?C.E.] in the East and St.?Augustine [died 430?C.E.] in the West was the soul established as a spiritual substance and a philosophical concept formed of its nature. .?.?. His [Augustine’s] doctrine .?.?. owed much (including some shortcomings) to Neoplatonism.”—New Catholic Encyclopedia (1967), Vol. XIII, pp.?452,?454.
“The concept of immortality is a product of Greek thinking, whereas the hope of a resurrection belongs to Jewish thought. .?.?. Following Alexander’s conquests Judaism gradually absorbed Greek concepts.”—Dictionnaire Encyclopédique de la Bible (Valence, France; 1935), edited by Alexandre Westphal, Vol. 2, p. 557.
“Immortality of the soul is a Greek notion formed in ancient mystery cults and elaborated by the philosopher Plato.”—Presbyterian Life, May?1, 1970, p.?35.
I have a believing friend with whom I have an ongoing argument, when we die one of us is going to be very surprised and one of us will not know their dead, which one is he?
I don't think it's me that will be surprised!
The bible teaches that the dead are asleep awaiting the resurrection. The rapture isnt a secret rapture. It is a rapture that is visible to the whole world.
Psalm 6:5 In death is no rememberance Ps. 13:3 - ';Lest I sleep the sleep of death.';
Ps. 115:17 - ';The dead praise not the Lord.';
Eccl. 9:5 - ';The dead know not anything.';
Matt. 9:24 - ';The girl is not dead but asleep.';
John 11:11 - ';Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep.';
So death is a sleep. Most christian churches believe that you die and go straight to heaven but we are resurrected at the second coming.
Luke 17:26-30. As it was in the days of Noah, they did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded, so shall it be in the days of the Son of Man.
For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 1 thess 4:16
satan will be bound for one thousand years. With the wicked in their graves and the righteous in heaven. TThen the wicked will be resurected at the end of the thousand years and satan and his people will prepare a war against god. The holy city will descend from heaven as satan and his people attack the holy city. God will send a fire out of heaven and devour them and sin will be no more.
I have provided a website that will better explain this
Good observation. An immortal need not resurrection. Jesus himself likened the death of his friend Lazarus to a deep sleep (John 11:11-14). Lazarus did not go anywhere. Even the criminal who was impaled beside Jesus did not go to heaven ahead of Jesus. They are in deep sleep waiting to be resurrected (John 5:28-29) For more info you can check the following:

Hell is a waiting place not the lake of fire.
Tabitha was a Disciple of Christ.... she still carries on the work of Jesus. She is sometimes known as one of Jesus's many disciples.
If you believe in Jesus, in his teachings, then you already have everlasting life.
The human Spirit can die... but if you strongly, completely believe in Jesus Christ.... you will not die... you will live on forever.recipe for milk cake
The book of Acts is many days after Jesus went upto heaven, and Peter says that king David is dead and buried and is not ascended into the heavens. So here we have good king David, dead, buried, not in heaven--is that clear!

So when do we go to heaven......answer (1 Corinthians 15:22-23)

i agree completely , i have just read a book called old souls its a very compelling book written from a skeptical point of view studying reincarnation might or might not be true but makes more sense than heaven and hell , i like your style, not a sheep but searching for the truth without the influence of every one else
Psalm 6:5 In death is no rememberance Ps. 13:3 - ';Lest I sleep the sleep of death.';
Ps. 115:17 - ';The dead praise not the Lord.';
Eccl. 9:5 - ';The dead know not anything.';
Matt. 9:24 - ';The girl is not dead but asleep.';
John 11:11 - ';Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep.';

The human Spirit can die... but if you strongly, completely believe in Jesus Christ.... you will not die... you will live on forever.
What about these old ones are they funny ?
A young woman was having a physical examination and was very embarrassed because of a weight problem. As she removed her last bit of clothing, she blushed. ';I'm so ashamed, and Doctor,'; she said, ';I guess I let myself go.'; The physician was checking hers eyes and ears. ';Don't feel ashamed, Miss. You don't look that bad.';
';Do you really think so, Doctor?'; she asked. The doctor held a tongue depressor in front of her face and said, ';Of course. Now just open your mouth and say moo.';
A handsome young lad went into the hospital for some minor surgery, and the day after the procedure a friend stopped by to see how the guy was doing. His friend was amazed at the number of nurses who entered the room in short intervals with refreshments, offers to fluff his pillows, make the bed, give back rubs, etc. ';Why all the attention?'; the friend asked, ';You look fine to me.';
';I know!'; grinned the patient. ';But the nurses kind of formed a little fan club when they all heard that my circumcision required twenty-seven stitches.';
Charlie marries a virgin. On their wedding night, he's on fire, and wants some dirty fun so he gets naked, jumps into bed, and immediately begins groping her. ';Charles, I expect you to be as mannerly in bed as you are at the dinner table.'; So, Charlie folds his hands on his lap and says, ';Is this better?'; ';Much better!'; she replies with a smile. ';Okay, then,'; he says, ';now will you please pass the p**sy.';

What do you think of my sick Vampire story?
A Vampire’s Hunt
I watched the woman weep at the edge of the dock. She shed tears for her children. The children she had found dead, drained of their blood. She had found the three of them scattered across her living room floor. The woman cried out loud. She screamed for them, “Why? They were all I had left.” She thought she was talking to the invisible killer hoping he would hear. Yet I was their and I heard clearly.
I couldn’t help the laughter that escaped my mouth. The woman with her wet cheeks turned her head to my hiding spot in the thick forests. “Who’s their?” she said so softly that human ears wouldn’t have been able to hear her words. Yet I could hear them quite clearly.
“It is me love. The nightmare that escaped your dreams. Do you remember?” I said while I enjoyed the look of horror that was painted across her face. I jumped from the branch of the tree I had been watching her from and landed at her side. I did it in such a quick motion that she had not seen or heard me, so she was still staring at the place I had been.
“Well, are you going to answer me?” She gasped and spun around to face me. She looked into my pure black eyes. I hypnotized her. She couldn’t help it, it’s what us Vampires do. We attract our food. We also enjoy the pain that floods threw their body. They don’t know it but it wets our appetite.
She stared into my eyes and fell into my arms. She cried into my shoulder. I put my finger on her chin, forcing her to look into my eyes. She stared into my eyes for a long time. As my bloodlust grew stronger I could see in my reflection in her eyes that my eye color was turning red, the color of blood.
I tilted her head so I could see the pulse on her neck. My mouth began to water. I felt a hunger much different from what humans experience.
I let my lips fall on her neck. I broke skin with my razor sharp fangs and let the blood flood in my mouth. I moaned with pleasure. I could feel her struggling against my hold. But I was too strong for her. It felt like a light breeze. It didn’t do much. I rolled over so I was on top of her. I lifted my mouth from her neck. Being careful not to drain her to fast. I liked to enjoy their agony while my venom poisoned them.
She screamed in pain. I laughed at her. She was a silly human with a silly human life. She looked like she was about 23. I have been around for almost 300 years old. She hasn’t experienced enough to miss. Her eyes began to roll into the back of her head. I rolled my eyes. I kissed her on the forehead. “You are such a fragile human love. Have you had enough of death? Or do you want me to finish you off?”
Her eyes came back into focus. She started to cry again. How is it possible she had so much fluids in her body? “Please! Just kill me! It hurts so much!” I laughed at her.
“Why should I do something for you? I won’t get any pleasure in cutting the pain short” I sunk my fang into her wound. I pressed my body against hers and moaned. I moved in rhythm to her slowing heart. I pressed my body harder against hers and pushed myself up and down stronger and faster. I slowed down and moved my body so I could hover above her.
She wailed in pain. She began to beg for death. “Love, it’s only going to get worse.” I said with a hint of pleasure in my voice. I moved my lips down her arms. I slowly inserted my fangs into her skin and dragging my tongue across the wound to seal the wound so the venom couldn’t escape. I moved down her body doing the same every 2 inches.
I moved back to her original wound and let my fangs sink back into her flesh. I whispered against her neck, “Goodnight my love. Sweat dreams.” I let the rest of her blood flow into my mouth while I move against her body. I moaned in pleasure sucking for the last drop.
I lifted my body from her corpse and looked down at her bruised body. I knelt down beside her and stripped her from her clothes. I carried her to her house to leave her at the doorstep for her husband. What a lovely surprise.

eh. vampire stories are way overdone. try something else, and maybe try taking a creative writing class.
I think vampire stories are being way over done now. Each one may not have anything to do with Twilight, but after all the hype it sure makes everyone think that it does. Oddly enough, vampire stories are kind of becoming mainstream now, haha, never thought that would happen.
